This wiki was created to provide resources for those wanting to build paper airplanes and improve their designs.

In first and fourth grades we use paper airplanes as a medium for design. We talk about the three forces that act on our planes as they fly: lift, drag, and gravity. We consider these forces in the design process, trying to achieve balance among them. Sometimes we add a paper clip or penny to the plane, placement can vary. Sometimes we add up or down elevators to the backs of the wings to improve flight. We check the dihedral of the plane often. Use these video tutorials to build your own planes and come up with your own strategies to improve the design. Happy flying!
